Winter Kayak Sessions - Open to the Public!! The Mackinaw Canoe Club will hold its winter kayak instructions at Five Points Washington in Washington, Il. The informal clinic is open to the public and is an opportunity for people of all abilities to develop their paddling skills in the controlled environment of a heated swimming pool. Canoe Club members will teach basic paddling techniques and roll skills. The sessions will be held from 5:00PM-6:45PM, on Jan. 6 & 20, Feb. 3 & 17, and Mar. 2. There will be a $5.00 charge to cover the cost of the pool rental. Children under 10 are free. The Canoe Club will provide a limited number of kayaks for those who do not have one. Anyone who wishes to borrow equipment should contact Roy Johnson in advance. Kayaks and gear must be clean in order to be used in the pool.
