Dear friend of state parks:

On Wednesday, Lt. Governor Pat Quinn launched the www.SaveOurStateParks.org website and online petition drive. In just 24 hours, we have over 6000 signatures!

If you have not signed our petition, please visit SaveOurStateParks.org and send a strong message to Gov. Rod Blagojevich to NOT CLOSE DOWN our 11 Illinois state parks and 13 historic sites.

We have learned recently that the Governor and Senate President Emil Jones will be calling back the State Senate on Monday, Sept. 22.

While the Senators are in Springfield, this is a solid chance to intervene and push for restoration of funding to state parks.

Please call and email your state senator, Senate President Emil Jones and Governor Blagojevich and demand that they restore funding and KEEP OUR STATE PARKS OPEN.
